HARPER'S BAZAAR ESPAÑA w/ Mirte Maas -

HARPER’S BAZAAR ESPAÑA w/ Mirte Maas

This fashion story was shot in Barcelona in a fabulous studio. I created the hairstyles for Mirte Maas to show moments of spontaneity and imperfection –  a snapshot appeal with the idea of constant movement and change.

It’s quite tricky to keep  hair looking great when you have to touch the hair constantly, there’s  always the problem of the hair becoming greasy.

Hairstyle tips: The important first step to deal with this is to make a solid base of thick hair to work with that will hold all the different shapes and styles and still maintain a light, silky feel & shine.

I dampened Mirte’s hair and combed through some Extra-Body Daily Boost by Paul Mitchell and blow-dried her hair thoroughly.  Throughout the day I added a few drops of Farouk Silk Therapy for shine and so I could move my hands freely through the resulting silkiness of her hair to work out the shapes and movement. This kind of serum works a treat because the leave-in foam absorbs it well so the hair does not become heavy or oily.
